Mike Bertolami began his career at Monument Mortgage in 2002, with an extensive Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service background. His focus is customer loyalty: “I view my relationship with the borrower as a partnership. I work on their behalf, making sure they are completely comfortable with the process and always keeping their best interests in mind.” Monument’s basic operating principles – “Personal * Knowledgeable * Experienced”, are embodied in the way that Mike manages his business. He develops strong inter-personal relationships by demonstrating that he has the product knowledge and industry experience to deliver a mortgage solution that fits the borrower’s financial goals.
Mike believes that being active in his community is critical to his personal and professional life. He and his family reside in Newburyport, MA – which makes him accessible to his customers in Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Mike loves making face-to-face connections, as he feels it helps keep him “completely informed about what people care about”. He is a co-founder of the KidzRock organization and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of the Lower Merrimack Valley. When he gets the opportunity, Mike provides Home Buyer education through seminars or courses, and states that he “leverages the information on mortgage banking products, guidelines, and regulation that he presents in the classroom when he works one on one with his clients.”
Moving forward, Mike is excited about the future of Mortgage Banking. He believes that Monument’s great investor relationships, which provide an extensive offering of products, will allow him to provide his ever-growing customer base with a mortgage that fits perfectly with their home buying dreams.
