Maureen Catino has been a member of the Monument Mortgage team since the company opened its doors in 1989! She has worked in a variety of roles at Monument – Underwriter, Closing Specialist, Operations Manager – all of which contributed to her comprehensive understanding of all facets of Mortgage Banking. In 1997, Maureen became a Loan Officer because she believed that her knowledge, experience, and skill at building personal relationships could be effectively used in a sales role.
Not surprisingly, Maureen is focused on providing top-notch service. She believes that a positive customer experience is comprised of four elements: Listening, Educating, Communicating, and, finally, Delivering Results as promised. Maureen stays with her clients during the entire mortgage financing process – she wants to ensure that “my customers receive as much information from me as possible early in the process, that they understand the importance of every step, and that they know I will be there at the very end, when their loan closes”. Maureen’s business relationships are more like friendships, which are created because she continually demonstrates that she truly cares. This very genuine approach to customer service has led to some impressive sales statistics - 83% of her clients are either repeat customers or referrals from satisfied past clients.
Maureen believes that the “bench strength” that Monument provides is outstanding – “having a reliable, supremely competent, supportive team helps me provide the service that my customers deserve.” Mortgage Banking is an ever-changing industry, and Maureen believes that “as a lending professional, you must keep current with regulations, underwriting guidelines, and general market trends. Customers can become overwhelmed by all the noise. It’s my job to explain what is important, what they need to focus on, and what actions they need to take. I love making it EASY!”.
